Vintage Indian silver belt buckle featuring a detailed high relief scene of a Hindu goddess riding a lion, surrounded by ornate scrolling decoration.
Heavy cast silver no hallmarks( as to be expected from this era of Indian work as signing or marking was seen as a sign of vanity )with excellent depth and definition. The buckle has a strong sculptural quality and decorative presence.
