What a rare lamp! this is a original pre war Brown brothers Duco FOR HIRE TAXI CAB LIGHT pat no 229069 front magnifying lens which twists to illuminate the FOR HIRE BLUE LENS either for hire or hire, a stunning lamp in a obvious used condition, sadly the blue lens is cracked, but on further investigation it appears that the blue etched glass is intact and it has a clear cover glass, but please zoom in and see the inside shot and decide for yourself ,
