A super-rare, one-family-owned Lines Brothers (Tri-ang) Bedford “Daily Mail” van. This large pre-war pressed-steel toy displays a wonderful original patina and the charming signs of a well-loved toy — exactly the character collectors prize. The van even retains working steering, a delightful feature that adds to its appeal.
Condition (please read carefully)
Played-with -Attractive, authentic patina with age-related chips and surface wear consistent with long use.
Missing parts: Rear doors and front grille are missing — these absences do not detract from the rarity but are reflected in the price.
Function: Steering is operational. Wheels and axles are present (see photos).
Overall: A genuine pre-war survivor offered in unrestored, display-ready condition.
